Musings about love making and recording it to share online

When we make love we follow the body language, cues from the partner that over time become like a secret language that enhances the level of communication to act of intimacy. This leads to some beautiful and flawless love making that when captured on film it becomes a work of art. The editing is really the fancy frame or a collage of this intense imagery. Music is the emotional subtitle that translates the secret language into one we can all understand. 

We are extremely intimate in our love making and we found that capturing it up-close evokes a lot of emotions and arouses almost instantaneously when we re-watch these later on. Being this close and sometimes very perso(a)nal can look cheesy or grotesque but we hope we keep the tight rope balance on this one. We like it, and we hope MLNP community does as well. 

This is the most exiting time in our sexual life by far. Neither of us has ever had this kind of sex before. We wonder how many people never get to experience this level of exhilaration and we hope that they are in minority. 

We are in a sense grateful for MLNP coming into our lives this year because now we will be able to document our sexual evolution and share it. There's so much freedom of expression in the bedroom, the needs are anticipated and fulfilled to satisfaction and going with the flow is the name of the game. And that's how we play when we record - we take a day off, we set the cameras, dress up for flair and then just make love. Sometimes we see something up close that makes us reach for the camera to record it - much like taking a snapshot of a memory one wants to preserve. But most of the time we make love and laugh and truly enjoy a break from a real world. What happens in our bed is a primal prayer and celebration of an ultimate communion where our spiritual energies combine and send a signal into the universe with a message of love and understanding. Sharing our movies in a sense magnifies and captures this signal and hopefully passes on some of the feeling immortalized in MP4. Can you feel it?

July update

I have been extremely busy with real life and grown-up obligations lately and it makes me sad that I have neglected this blog for so long. As an update I will say that I am working on the new movie and it should be done by the end of this month. We are also cooking up a bit of a surprise and I don't know how long it will be before it's ready but I will bet my life on it that it won't be disappointing.

In a meantime I wanted to share this image with you because while what we do isn't exactly traditional poetry - to me it is. And the message is clearly the same. Don't you think?

Full Moon Swoon - and if that's not art...

Full Moon Swoon is a sequel to Morning Glory – hence the same outfit and accessories. We wanted to have this whole day and night experience and feel.  It was shot at night with an industrial strength light and it was really hot. I mean HOT - literally. We learned a lot about lighting for videos. Needless to say we will be investing in some real and COOL soft box or two.

I want to spend a moment to talk about my new fascination with editing. It’s time consuming and at times confusing work – especially when you have more than one angle shot at the same time. The process of selecting the best stuff that should make it into the final movie is sometimes heartbreaking. In this particular case I have some scenes that had to be cut out completely because they didn’t “flow” with the rest of the movie, plus I was really trying to keep it under 1hr. I had 3.5 hours of material (each “scene” was shot with 2-3 cameras simultaneously) – some of which was clearly in between stuff not only the goodies. I took one of these “extra” scenes and threw it into the intro, because I found it hilarious and I hope you will too. While the final movie is all glorified and bootiful – we are regular people just trying to have fun with it. So sometimes funny things happen and we laugh our butts off. This one by far is my favorite “blooper” so far.

Since the lighting we used was incandescent and warm it gave all the scenes a bit of a golden glow. I decided to take it a step up and rendered all the clips into vibrant sepia but didn’t erase other colors – so you can still see the blues and greens whenever they appear. I have a lot of new ideas for the future – now that I have a decent handle on the programs I am using. That’s another thing – I never would have learned all of this if it wasn’t for the motivation to make the movies look and feel a certain way. I had these programs for years and never really had a reason to mess with video editing. And now that I opened that chapter – I learned something new and have another creative tool in my toolbox. With each new movie I feel like my wings are spreading wider and I can do more and better each time. And that’s a good feeling.

I also watch movies and shows now with a new appreciation for the editors, directors, camera men and all the work that goes into making it look good in the end. I look at colors, lighting and sequences with my mouth open at times, because I SEE now and I APPRECIATE much more. Always took it for granted. No more!

And needless to say I cannot stomach regular porn at this point. Period. I don’t think I can ever watch it again with the same mindless hunger for satisfaction. I want more out of it now. I want passion. I want beauty. I want love. And you know where it is? Right here on MLNP. I am really grateful for the chain of events that led us to the NYC Porn Festival and MLNP. We were inspired to inspire in return. And if that’s not art then I don’t know what is.
